Hi everyone! It's been a while since I've posted something here, but I recently got a fulltime job which has been occupying my time and I've been in a major reading slump. I've read exactly 8 books since May. 8 BOOKS!!!!!!!!! That's nothing. So needless to say, big slump. But, I've decided to change things up. The first change is very noticeable: a new layout! I've gotten tired and bored of my old layout and I wanted something new. I can't say yet if this layout is going to stay, there will be changes throughout the next few weeks, but when my layout is done to my liking, I'll let you guys now.
It's been a while since I've posted and now I come back with a post that isn't even bookrelated.. I'm so sorry guys!!! I'll try and start posting regurlarly again, but I saw this tag on Youtube and I really, really wanted to do it since I have such a love for names. Let me clarify that I'm not pregnant and I also do not plan on having kids, so this is purely because I love names so much. So I said f*** it, and now you can read my answers to all these name related questions. Don't forget to tell me in the comments some of your favorite names/answers to these questions, I'd love to know!
Hey guys, hello! I'm back with another bookshelf post. So the other day I really wanted to reorganize my shelves, and so I did. If you've seen my Bookshelf Tour 2.0 you know I had my books in a very random and not really logical order, so I thought I'd do it different this time and organize them on color. It took a lot of time, but I'm super happy with the result (as you can see in the picture below), and I thought I'd take you on a little tour to show you what's on each shelf now.
I recently bought the all the Twilight books in English plus The Short Second life of Bree Tanner. Up until that point I did not own them in English and had the Dutch books split between me and my sister, so basically, I only owned Twilight and Breaking Dawn, while she owned New Moon and Eclipse. Why did I decide to buy the Twilight box in English? I realized, I still really like this book series, and I needed them complete and in English on my shelves. A lot of people have been saying over the years that they dislike Twilight, and I get it's probably because of the movies. I agree, the movies are pretty bad. But the books are not, not in my opinion anyway. So here are 6 reasons why I loved Twilight, still love Twilight and will always love reading Twilight.
Hi guys! Sorry I haven't been posting in a week or so, I've just been quite busy and was in a blogging slump. R.I.P. But I'm gonna try to post at least one thing a week now, so fingers crossed. For this blogpost I've decided to share my top 5 favorite contemporaries that I've read in the first half of this year. I've read a few (not nearly enough), and thought I'd share my favorite five with y'all. So without further ado, here are my favorites of the first half of 2017.
I finally picked up When Dimple Met Rishi and ohmygod, it's as cute and amazing as everyone says it is. I loved every page, every word of it. Definitely one of my new favorite contemporaries! The story is told from two pov's: Dimple's and Rishi's. They do not know each other but their parents have arranged for them to marry and their first meeting will be at the famous Insomnia Con for web developers. Well, Rishi knows their first meeting will be there. Dimple.. is completely in the dark about this. Having no idea Rishi doesn't know Dimple doesn't know he greets her as future wife and in a shocked reply Dimple throws an ice coffee in his face. Great first meeting!
Back to one of my favorite kind of posts: the 10 favorite quotes from *insert book*. Last month I did a post like this but with quotes from The Night Circus. When I was browsing my bookshelves, I came across The Song of Achilles, remembered all the beauty and pain and gorgeous words and decided to make a top 10 quotes post. So buckle up, we're going to experience a bunch of pain again. Oh, don't we love being a reader?!
What's up you guys?! It's been a while since I did a bookshelf tour and my gosh, are things different now. For starters, I moved in with my boyfriend and he loves reading as well, so we've combined all of our books and created a tiny library. I'm constantly in hearteyes mode. Anyway, I've decided to not show you only pictures this time, because, if you didn't know it yet, I'm also on Youtube now! So here's a video of me showing you my bookshelves.
When I read the blurb of Cherry, I knew I wanted to read it. Four best friends, about to graduate, creating a sex pact? I am in! I'm so glad I finally picked up this book, because I absolutely adored it. Layla, Emma, Alex and Zoe have a couple months left until graduation.. and before they have to part to each go to college. Layla, being the planner she is, has created a to do list with things she wants to do before graduation. Get highlights, make an A in English Lit.. and have sex with her boyfriend of two years. Before you know, The Crew (as the girls are called) have created the sex pact: they will all lose their virginity before graduation together. Not together together, but seperately together. Layla has the perfect plan to loose it on Valentine's Day, Alex says she's already lost her v-card, Emma is the first one of the bunch to loose hers after the sex pact has been created and Zoe starts giggling as soon as something says the word orgasm, so they so conveniently start using the word fireworks instead. And they invent the sexie, the after sex selfie, to send to The Chat as proof after they've done the dirty. Layla even creates a whole Sex Doc, with all the tips and tricks for the big deed.
It's another 'reasons why to read' post! I'm on a reread of this trilogy and it's reminding me of all the reasons why I absolutely adore these books. And they're hella underrated, so I thought I'd put a few reasons together as to why you should pick up this series. Run to the library! Browse bookdepo, find yourself an epub! It's time to start Ruby Red.
