Monthly Wrap-Up: May

Time flies by so fast, I can’t believe it’s June already! Back in April I read more than 10 books which still blows my mind. This month, I read a lot less. Like half of what I read last month. But it’s all good, because I did read a few I really liked, and that’s what matters. (I’m also still ahead of my schedule to finish 110 books this year, so I’m not complaining). Again, I will link to my reviews of these books if I wrote them. Let’s get to the books I read in the month May!

1. Second Position (District Ballet Company #1) by Katherine Locke
Thought this book was brilliantly written and I really connected to the characters. I love ballet and I love books about ballet, so this one was definitely a book up my alley. Click here to read my full review.

2. Soldier (Talon #3) by Julie Kagawa
I loved this book so much! I had been waiting for it to come out since I read Rogue and it was so good. And that ending! My poor heart can’t take it. Click here to read my full review.

3. The Crown (The Selection #5) by Kiera Cass
I was really anticipating this read, because The Heir ended on a cliffhanger. Sad to say this book was rather disappointing and not what I hoped the last book in the series would be like. Click here to read my full review.

4. Angelfall (Penryn & The End of Days #1) by Susan Ee
Because of the hype for this series a while back, I picked this book up on a whim and I found myself I actually rather enjoyed it. Click here to read my full review.

5. Dirty Girl (Dirty Girl Duet #1) by Meghan March
I was provided with an e-arc for this book and it was a really nice change of pace from all the YA I’ve been reading. The book lives up to it’s title and there are a lot of steamy scenes in this one. Click here to read my full review.

6. The False Prince (The Ascendance Trilogy #1) by Jennifer A. Nielsen
My first Middle Grade book since, well, middle grade! I picked this book at random and I really really liked it. Click here to read my full review.

7. Some Kind Of Perfect (Calloway Sisters #4.5, Addicted Series #3.5) by Krista and Becca Ritchie
The last much anticipated book in the Addicted Series *starts crying again* It was really emotional to read this last book but I loved every minute of it. Click here to read my full review.

8. Dirty Love (Dirty Girl Duet #2) by Meghan March
The second book in the Dirty Girl Duet duology. Again, a lot of steamy scenes in this one and another plottwist I did not see coming. Click here to read my full review.

Ooh I see some great books here!! I am currently reading Some Kind of Perfect, and I’ve teared up so much already. I CAN’T BELIEVE IT IS ALMOST OVER. I too did not like The Crown, literally NOTHING happened… Great wrap up!

Ohh nice wrap-up!! You’ve read some contemporary/romance/new adult books I immediately added to my own to-read-list, they look awesome!! – the dirty girl duet for example and some kind of perfect –
The Crown.. I still have to read it. I thought the Heir was a nice read but not as great as the first three books. I think the Crown will stay unread on my shelf for a while to come, lol.
