I’m Dating A Fictional Character! 5 Book Boyfriends I’ve Sold My Heart To

I'M DATING A FICTIONAL CHARACTER!5 BOOK BOYFRIENDS I'VE SOLD MY HEART TOBook boyfriends. We all have ‘m. Book boys are just too good to be true and we’re constantly wishing they were real, so we could actually date them while at the same time we ship them with their significant others, because they make such a cute couple too! As a person who reads a lot of books, I meet a lot of cute book boys and of course some have made me fall in love with them pretty hard. “My heart was yours from the start,” as they love to say in books. So today I thought I’d share a few of my all time favorite book boyfriends with y’all and gush about them in the comments.

Adrian Ivashkov

Adrian is by far, my all time favorite book boy. I weep for this guy. He made me love him from the very first page, way back in the second book in the Vampire Academy series. You can possibly imagine how freaking excited I was that he was coming back in Bloodlines with an even bigger part to play. He’s so charismatic, he’s sweet, he’s full of love, he has a grin that will make your knees weak (at least, that’s how I imagine him) and he’s actually so smart. He’s come such a long way from the first Bloodlines book to the last one, it makes me so fucking proud of him. Both him and Sydney, but especially Adrian. He has a good heart, even if he didn’t always see it himself, I did.

“I’m like a fine wine. I get better with age. The best is yet to come.”

Will Herondale

I LOVE HIM SO MUCH OHFIHEFJKDS. My heart is so fragile. William Owen Herondale, I might love him as much as I love Adrian. Maybe a little bit less, but only a little bit. This beautiful, broken boy. How can you not love him? He pretends not to love anyone, but he loves Jem so much and he wouldn’t want to live in a world without him. And Tessa. Oh Tessa. SERIOUSLY WILL, YOU’VE SET MY STANDARDS SO HIGH.

“You are the first dream, the only dream I ever was unable to stop myself from dreaming. You are the first dream of my soul, and from that dream I hope will come all other dreams, a lifetime’s worth.”

Loren Hale

Loren Hale. Lo. My precious cinnamon roll. Too pure for this world. He’s not perfect in any way, but he is such a strong man and he has a good heart and he loves Lily so much. I hope one day I find someone who’ll love me as much as Lo loves Lily. Lo has come such a long way from the first book till the last book and I’m so fucking proud of the man he has become. Brb while I quietly sob in a corner.

“Cheekbones that cut like ice and eyes like liquid scotch. Loren Hale is an alcoholic beverage and he doesn’t even know it.”

Khalid Ibn Al-Rashid

There are no words to describe my love for Khalid, the Caliph of Khorasan, this beautiful boy-king. He’s pained and broken, but Shazi made him fly and love and seeing him go from a crippled man to a fighter, makes my heart sing with so much joy. And the guy has a way with words, that makes me swoon.

“For nothing, not the sun, not the rain, not even the brightest star in the darkest sky, could begin to compare to the wonder of you.”

Carswell Thorne

Thorne is a goofball, but a really cute, sarcastic, funny goofball. And he reminds me a lot of Adrian, so there’s no wonder I really like him. He and Adrian could be brothers, they’re that much alike. Thorne is, if a little reckless and carefree, a really good and genuine guy and he does care for the people around him, just like Adrian does. HE HAS A GOOD HEART THAT MAKES MY LITTLE HEART GO BOOMBOOMBOOM.

“Captain, I think I’m in love with you.”
“Don’t tell me it took you two whole days to realize that. I must be losing my touch.”
